Cabbie's Blackhawks video - Chicago Entourage

Cabbie from The Score spoke with some Blackhawks players recently on their off ice responsibilities such as updating their Facebook pages, Twitter, who gets the girls as well as their post game interviews.

Colin Fraser, Patrick Kane, Andrew Ladd, Brian Campbell, and Adam Burish "discuss" how they manage their lives off the ice.

Kaner is hilarious, some people may think he's an cocky airhead, but he's listening to everything and he's not stupid. Don't run up on him with a line because he'll catch!

Plus his mullet glitters... that's right it glitters or glistens?

Most technologically Blackhawk is Soup with his iPad...but Burish probably is the most tech savvy.

No matter how busy the guys are, there is always time for the internet!

BHTV segments!

I hope everyone has a safe and fun Memorial Day!
I want to thank all those that serve for our country and to their familes!

Now for the videos

The future of the Blackhawks are with Toews and kane!

What a great article by ESPNChicago! Melissa Isaacson spoke with Kane, Toews, and their parents on their growth with the organization and entering the NHL so young. There is no question that Jonathan and Patrick are talented players but there is something to be said when two individuals with such an aptitude for this sport, do not let it get to their heads. This article also highlights Jonathan and Patrick's friendship which many female fans find extremely adorable (including myself) but beyond that, this bond is extremely important for them as players but for the team. It helped them develop and adjust to living in Chicago and playing for the NHL at such a young age.

Blackhawks sweep the Sharks!

What an exciting series and even thrilling Game 4! I was screaming and jumping up and down in NY while the Blackhawks worked to beat the Sharks in Chicago, definitely one of the best moments of my life as a fan of the Hawks! I hope to experience many more similar celebrations in the future!

Duncan Keith

He lost 7 teeth during today's game! Wow and ouch, he is such a fighter on this team and plays with all his heart.

Patrick Kane

It feels surreal but fantastic to follow a team and watch them keep going further and further towards the ultimate prize.

I am extremely proud of the Blackhawks and also proud to be a fan of them!

Next post will be the Blackhawks art roundup for the past few days!

Game 4 today!

Sharks vs. Blackhawks in Chicago!
Game 4 will be broadcasting on NBC and CBC at 3PM Eastern!

I don't hide the fact that Kaner is my favorite Blackhawk and for good reason, one of which is his love for the game and team and determination to win. He is a great competitor. This video made me really emotional because it was about the Blackhawks and the fans and I think that we (fans) have such a connection with this team than any other in the NHL. This postseason has been a fight but through the adversity the Blackhawks have triumped and showed that they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Thanks Kaner for this celebration, it meant a lot to me and the fans!

Following the game today I am going to post some new Blackhawks art feature Dustin Byfuglien and Jonathan Toews!

Blackhawks art!

I will be posting more Blackhawks art, as it gets finished to this blog!
I have done two pieces so far but I am planning to do create more. I have some ideas on what I will do next, but I think I am going to do some unrelated graphics and then work on a series of related ones.

Here is a Patrick Kane large blend I did yesterday. The size is 1200x800 and can be used for a desktop wallpaper!

The Underrated Ladd

I am one of those fans that believes that Andrew Ladd is underrated and overlooked by the media. He is a great player and competitor (not to mention he can grow a great beard)! The Daily Herald wrote up a story about Andrew that shares these sentiments.

A fine young Ladd: Hawks forward keeps the production moving

If Andrew Ladd needed any more proof that he's overlooked, then he needs to find videotape of the mob scene inside the Blackhawks' dressing room on Thursday.

So many camera crews pounced on the neighbor to Ladd's immediate right - the mullet-wielding Patrick Kane - that the feisty third-line forward didn't have room to shed his sweaty practice gear.

Kaner quote from today

This quote is from today's interview posted at NHL.com:
Kane says Hawks must step up home game

Q: Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you say earlier that this is a must-win situation for you guys?

Kane: I think so. If you give them 2-1, you give them life and they're a really good team over there, so you never know what can happen. For our team, we haven't had the success on home ice that we have had on the road, so it's almost like you have to win back here to get those standards back up. I mean, to define it as a must-win, every game is a must-win in the playoffs to me.

Press Conference videos from today!

The Blackhawks are back in Chicago and the first thing they do when they get back is have a press conference! Now that is how I want to start my morning after a flight from San Jose.

Game 2 Postgame wrap up presented by Patrick Kane's purple tie and mullet!

Being on the east coast for this game was always an amazing experience! U an a but tired from staying up so late, way past the game to catch up on the postgame festivities online. So this post may be a little scattered!
I wore my Patrick Kane jersey and owned the recliner with a bottle of Heineken as I watched the Blackhawks defeat the Sharks. I was hoping for another shutout for Niemi, but even after the two goals from the Sharks was not the least bit disappointed with Niemi's performance. He was sharp and really on his guard!

Ladd, Brouwer, Toews, and Byfuglien were the goal scorers of the game, their teammates, as well as themselves were really laying on the presence around Nabakov, rattling him and his team. The Sharks, apart from their two goals, looked a little lost and not as quick to the puck as the Hawks were. Compared to the series against the Predators, the Hawks have gotten better, faster, and more dangerous. If they keep up this intensity, the series could be done by Sunday.

And we all know what comes after that!

Mike Wilbon's PTI Blackhawks/Sharks video

It is rare that ESPN covers anything NHL related and it is even rarer that PTI takes 20 seconds or so to discuss something hockey but Chicago local Mike Wilbon gives a minute to the Blackhawks/Sharks game.

Game 2 of the Blackhawks/Sharks series is tonight!

Intro post

Hello internet world!
I have been wanting to start up a blog about my "hockey adventures" after I attended my first NHL game back in April. With college finals and work, it has been a little hard for me to organize everything, but now that the semester is over I can achieve my goal!
This is my first sports blog where I will write daily ramblings, views, matchups, and what not as I get to know hockey and being to understand it more.
I was raised a MLB fan and never watched an ounce of hockey until the 2010 Olympics. Some may call me a bandwagoner but whether that has any truth to it, I don't care.
I am enjoying this sport greatly and I want to share that experience!
