I am a huge supporter of Sopel, even when fans were saying that he is too slow and not covering the puck fast enough. I am sick of the negativity surrounding Sopel. He is one of the hardest working players on the ice and one of the nicest off the ice and makes physical sacrifices for his team. As a friend told me, "He would stop a grenade with his body if it was shot to the goal!".
Stephen Night from The Sports Network wrote a great piece on Brent, you can read it at the following link:

My favorite part of the article:
He's easily Chicago's comeback player of the year, and it's no surprise that he's the club's nominee for the Bill Masterton Trophy, which will be awarded next month to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.
A Stanley Cup and Masterton Trophy in the same year may be too much to wish for, but if it happens for Sopel, it couldn't happen to a more understated guy.
